Anti-Abortion Laws  have been the topic of discussion across the country!! Some states took the conversation a step further and made laws severely restricting (or in some cases blocking) abortion!! Alabama was one of those states that tried to enforce strict abortion laws. Well now, it appears those Alabama abortion laws were not constitutional!! As we previously reported, the ban would have made performing an abortion a felony in most cases. _____________________________________ According to @abcnews, U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson issued an expected preliminary injunction for the law that was set to become effective on November 15th. The ruling came after abortion providers sued to have the law blocked. _____________________________________ Judge Thompson said in an accompanying opinion, “Alabama's abortion ban contravenes clear Supreme Case Court precedent. It violates the right of an individual to privacy, to make choices central to personal dignity and autonomy. It diminishes the capacity of women to act in society and to make reproductive decisions.
