Public Enemy rapper Flavor Flav was reportedly involved in a car crash in Las Vegas earlier this week.
While reports are brief, the incident is said to have happened Tuesday (January 19).
Flavor Flav was involved in a two-car crash in Las Vegas tonight, TMZ has learned. Cops were called to the scene to investigate. We’re told Flav suffered no major injuries. No word on the other driver. Flav’s car was towed away from the scene — and the rapper rode shotgun in the tow-truck. (TMZ)
Flav recently had his tax records leak online.
Flav, 50, real name William Drayton, is a member of legendary rap group Public Enemy, and lately has starred in several seasons of VH1’s reality show “Flavor of Love.” The state of California filed an $183,810 lien against Drayton on Sept. 17 in Sacramento County Court. Flavor Flav could not be reached for comment. His manager said he forwarded an e-mail message to the rapper. (Detroit News)
In recent years, Flav has made a name for himself on the small screen.
Now back on top, the rapper released his debut solo album, Flavor Flav, in 2006 and suffered the jabs of Katt Williams, Patton Oswalt, Lisa Lampanelli and others when “The ComedyCentral Roast of Flavor Flav” aired in 2007. A year later he became a featured actor on the myNetworkTV sitcom “Under One Roof.” (All Music)
Reports last winter suggested he was working with filmmaker Deon Taylor for a “Nite Tales” television series.
Taylor describes the new show as “Tales From the Crypt” meets “The Twilight Zone,” with Flav playing a role similar to “Crypt’s” Cryptkeeper, as he did in the BET movie. The show will have a Web presence, including an online contest Taylor is planning in which fans can name Flav’s character. Taylor said he is targeting a young audience that might not know “Crypt” or “Zone” well, for whom “Tales” would be a new concept. The plan is for “Tales” to premiere this year as a weekly cable series. (MSNBC)
