Yes, this is still a thing.
In an update on the alleged attacks on Jussie Smollett, the Chicago Police Department has released the audio from the 911 call made on his behalf. It seems that Smollett did not want to call the cops right away. The call to authorities is believed to be made by Smollett’s manager Frank Gatson almost 40 minutes after the attack took place, but the caller’s identity has yet to be confirmed.
In the audio, the caller doesn’t mention Jussie Smollett by name. He simply states that the “artist” is “very well known”. There is audible panic in the caller’s as he states that the attack was “very f–ked up.”
Take a listen!
Not sure if this helps or hurts Jussie Smollett’s case with the city of Chicago. but we’ll keep you updated!
