For the second time in two months, a human trafficking ring was busted in the Madison Heights area.

An arrest was made at a Madison Heights motel this week with police charging a man for forcing two women into prostitution. Donald Beauchamp, a 31-year-old, white man was arrested for human trafficking. Police say he was holding two women in their 20’s hostage. Beauchamp is being accused of forcing them into sex work.

It is reported that the 21-year-old black woman and 23-year-old white woman had been held by Beauchamp without access to a cell phone and were likely threatened with assault. Beauchamp is facing 35 years in jail.

Madison Heights is considered a prime spot for Human trafficking due to its location and access to 1-75 and I-696.

These two women were lucky to be rescued but there are more who need help. If you know someone who may be a victim or a suspect of human trafficking don’t hesitate to get help. Call 1-888-373-7888.
