In January, Milwaukee Bucks’ guard Sterling Brown was arrested for a parking violation. The simple violation escalated quickly and resulted in Brown being tased by officers. Brown expressed that what happened to him “shouldn’t happen to anybody.”
The officer’s body camera showed the whole altercation and how things went from 0-100 real quick! Social media was in a frenzy after the video had been released. The Milwaukee Bucks also expressed their distaste for the police department and support for Brown via their official Twitter account.
The Milwaukee police chief, Alfonso Morales later issued an apology to Sterling Brown. He stated, “The department conducted an investigation into the incident, which revealed members acted inappropriately and those members were recently disciplined.”
