Rep. LaTanya Garrett Plans a Community Fundraiser for 3-Year-Old London Muldrow
Detroit Community Comes Together for 3-Year-Old
LANSING — State Representative LaTanya Garrett (D-Detroit) announced that she has planned a community fundraiser for three-year-old, London Muldrow, who was shot on Detroit’s west side on April 8, 2018. “I was saddened to hear the news of 3-year-old London Muldrow. We must call for an end to these senseless shootings. As a mother with a baby girl born with health challenges, I realize the support parents will need now and in the future to ensure the best health outcomes for their child. I am compelled to assist this family in every way I can. Therefore, I am asking for the community to stand with me and bond together to uplift and support baby London family during this crisis.” said Garrett.
Baby London was shot in the head as she sat in a car with her mom in the back seat of a vehicle at a gas station in the 15000 block of Livernois Avenue. London is the third child in just over two weeks to be shot as people chose gunfire to settle their rage. “As prayers for her speedy recovery are pouring in from all across the country, I am asking all of our community partners to unite to assist this family in this unfortunate time of need,” said Garrett.
