Earlier in the year it seemed like Kodak Black was not the perfect role model to kids due to his repetitive arrest. He was arrested in Feb for probation violation but is currently now on house arrest. With behavior like this, you would never use him as a topic for middle school students to home work on right? Think again because a middle school teacher in Georgia just did that exact thing.
The assignment was to take Kodak’s verse from “Drowning” and changing the explicit lyrics to something more positive. Despite what some would consider a thought-provoking assignment didn’t go over well with parents causing much chaos and eventually the teacher was suspended. . The district superintendent chimed in on the matter stating:
“The assignment was inappropriate, unacceptable and contrary to our standards. The employee responsible has been removed from the classroom and will be held accountable for such poor judgment. While we encourage teacher creativity, the expectation is that the instruction is always standards-based and age appropriate.” What’s your thoughts, leave us a comment.
