Rumors have it that Migos member Quavo is being considered to do the national anthem. Now, before the scrutiny begins let’s take a minute to see exactly why it could actually work. Quavo is no guest to being featured on tracks and stepping out side of the box to do a song. Besides, that’s how he ended up on tracks with Post Malone, Mary J. Blige, and even Keke Palmer. All of the Migos was featured on a song with Katy Perry and that’s just another example as to why Quavo should be on the national anthem. The man simply just knows how to make a hit. A petition has been put together to have the Bad and Boujee rapper perform the anthem already.
With all due respect to the anthem, we must admit that it is one boring piece of music; So it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to spice it up a new version with “Huncho” himself on it.
Now it’s kind of hard to imagine just exactly that would sound but social media brought dreams to reality so check out this comedy video of what the national anthem would sound like with Quavo on it.
Personally, I don’t think it sounds bad at all. Just imagine a crowd full of people proudly dabbing for America as the anthem comes to a close at the next super bowl? Lit, right? This might be a national anthem that Kaepernick wouldn’t even want to kneel for.
