After nine long years of being in prison over a robbery charge, former NFL superstar and actor, OJ Simpson, will be released on parole October 1.
OJ who has been in prison since 2007 has been granted parole today where the chairman of the parole board, Connie Bisbee, opened the hearing by saying OJ Simpson has been considered “low risk” on the state’s risk assessment. The hearing was broadcasted via video conference and played on ESPN.

“I’ve done my time, I’d just like to get back to my family and friend, and believe it or not, I do have some real friends. Nine years away from my family, it just wasn’t worth it” said OJ Simpson.
