“This capsule celebrates a time when we were dreamers. It captures that time brilliantly”- Jay-Z. Rightfully celebrating the GOAT (arguably of our generation) one of his most iconic albums Reasonable Doubt released June 25th, 1996, Roc96 and MadeWorn clothing decided to collaborate to create men and women pieces to reflect the historic and iconic album being exclusively released in the big department store in New Work; Barneys.
According to Complex.com style, MadeWorn designer Blaine Halvorson and Roc-A-Fella co-founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke as well as Roc Nation’s head manager of lifestyle Emory Jones all worked in creating the exclusive merchandise. The Roc96 clothing line consists of Roc graphics, lyrics, and track list titles. There will bombers, military jackets, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and commemorative Reasonable Doubt dog tags. The line can be purchased online Thursday, May 4, 2017.
This is not the first partnership Jay has done with Barneys. Nevertheless, Burke insists choosing this specific retailer was solely based on Barneys being a “fashion leader” and created a foundation for many more collections to be created and sold.
