It is not surprise that The 6 aka Toronto has had a lot of attention within the music industry due to the 6 God himself Drake, and the rebel Abel Tesfaye also known as the Weeknd. With his debut mixtape entitled House Of Balloons that was released back in 2011 the Weeknd has not slowed down one bit. With 3 successful studio albums under his belt (Kissland, Beauty Behind the Madness, and Starboy), winning an array of awards from AMAs, Billboard, and the creme de la creme Grammys, it is only right we take a closer look at the man behind the Weeknd; Amir “Cash” Esmailian.

Cash XO, Iranian born, and Ottawa raised resident co manages the Weeknd. He is also the overseer of The Weeknd’s infamous business, cultural movement, and growing empire “XO”. Cash XO sits down with Complex Music.com’s Chris Martin to discuss his ups and down, and journey to becoming one of music most sought after entertainer.  “Within 24 hours of hearing his first song by the Weeknd in early 2011, Amir “Cash” Esmailian stuffed whatever he could of his Miami apartment into a single suitcase and moved to Toronto. The goal was to get nearer to the guy he says he knew would change the sound change the world of music”- Complex Music
