As the transition of power takes place in the Whitehouse many grew concerned with the new administration’s policies excluding them from sustaining their human and civil rights. Many women across the country have united to march on Washington as a way to protest their rights. Some even hosting their own marches in their respective cities simultaneously, as they couldn’t make it to Washington but still marched in support.
Detroiters weren’t far behind linking up by the thousands at Wayne State University in support of women’s rights and each other. According to Wayne State police chief, nearly 4,000 women marched from the heart of WSU headed west on Warren and up Anthony Wayne drive. Click here for more from our friends at detroitnews.com
