Donald Trump promised he would provide deep tax cuts and jolt middle class workers back to prosperity, as he spoke to those who gathered to hear his speech speech to the Detroit Economic Club on Monday afternoon.
However, some didn’t hear the speech because more than a dozen protestors were removed from it early. According to local reports, one of the protestors was former State Rep. Rashida Tlaib. Tlaib is a Palestinian-American and a Muslim, who has been outspoken on Twitter against Trump, using the hashtag #MomsAgainstTrump multiple times.
Trump did not say much during the protests, instead keeping his focus on the speech.
