The plus size movement is in full effect, packing a punch and taking names. And the new names on the list are NBC and ABC.

Apparently the networks turned down Lane Bryant’s new 30-second commercial featuring Ashley Graham, Victoria Lee and Justine LeGault for its nudity. While the major networks claim to have not outright “rejected” the commercial, they won’t put it up until adjustments are made.

The video features the women posing in bras and panties in front of a white backdrop— with LeGault breast feeding her child naked in one modestly crafted shot.

“As part of the normal advertising standards process, we reviewed a rough cut of the ad and asked for minor edits to comply with broadcast indecency guidelines,” NBC told the New York Daily News. “The ad was not rejected and we welcome the updated creative.”

In response to their feedback, Lane Bryant responded, noting that the channels should calm down.

“I don’t think these models are any more nude than any other models we’ve seen on TV,” a Lane Bryant rep said. “This was not a hard-hitting conversation about body positivity. This was a playful way to engage our women and all women.”

When compared to racy Victoria’s Secret ads, one has to question if nudity is really a problem… or size? Back in 2010, Graham vocalized the discrepancy in not accepting a Lane Bryant ad at the time.

“Victoria’s Secret commercials are airing all throughout the day, but when it comes to a Lane Bryant commercial, we have a little bit of extra, you know, overflowing, and then everybody freaks out,” Graham told CBS News at the time.

Hey, we’re no censorship bureau.

And we have no idea what it takes to get a commercial accepted to air. But we would really and truly hope that size —no matter what someone is selling— has nothing to do with an ad being worthy of a time slot.
