Makers of NBA 2k16 ,Take Two Interactive, are being sued by Solid Oak Sketches for displaying tattoos on NBA players without their permission.

Solid Oak Sketches owns the rights to many tattoos on NBa players including the butterflies on Kobe’s arm and the child’s portrait and script scrolls on Lebron James forearms.

Tattoo copyrights aren’t law but, Solid Oak argues the “pictorial, graphic, and sculptural works”of the artists should be protected by law. Solid Oak is seeking up to $150,00 per infringement, especially since they attempted to make a licensing agreement for $1.14 million last year.
