Detroit Federation of Teachers to Hold News Conference Monday
on Deplorable Environmental, Learning Conditions in Schools
DETROIT—The leaders of the Detroit Federation of Teachers, a parent and a member of the faith community will hold a news conference on Monday in front of A.L. Holmes Elementary School to discuss the severity of the chronic, toxic environmental and learning conditions that educators and students face in Detroit classrooms.
They will detail the deplorable conditions in school buildings and discuss what should be done to end the understandable frustration that has gripped educators and the community.
