Released on Rolling Stone’s website, Penn conducted the interview with Joaquin Guzman around September in Mexico. In the lengthy interview, Chapo spoke to the actor about the early days of his career, saying he started when he was just 15 year old.
The 58-year-old drug lord opened up about his business, saying: “I supply more heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana than anybody else in the world. I have a fleet of submarines, airplanes, trucks, and boats.” Guzman also rejected any type of responsibility for rampant drug addiction, noting: “The day I don’t exist, it’s not going to decrease in any way at all.”
