It was already known that the new set of Star Wars films would be a trilogy. However, due to the amount of success The Force Awakens is currently having, Disney couldn’t wait to pop the lid on the release date for the next flick.

According to ABC News, Bob Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, announced the next Star Wars movie will officially be on May 26, 2017. The film will be directed by Rian Johnson, of Breaking Bad.

Iger’s announcement also revealed that their would be a stand-alone Star Wars movie, titled Rogue One, which will be the first of its kind. It will star Felicity Jones and be directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Felicity Jones, will “explores the characters and events beyond the core Star Wars saga.”

So Star Wars fans buckle up because more movies are on the way.
