There’s a new young artist who hails from Benton Harbor. Kaliph’e Poole, known as “Lava”, is a 24-year-old rapper who has skills on the microphone. He’s a 90s baby and started rapping as a child while watching his father deejay for mainstream artists such as Method Man, Redman, Common and Talib Kwali. Lava Dope always loved music and as a child he used to record on a karaoke machine. He decided to take music seriously when he watched his dad perform live in concert for the first time. Lava’s main objective is to work hard and become a prominent rapper in the music industry. The lead single “BANDO” has been catching eyes and ears, which makes the anticipation of the mixtape “Inspiration” dropping Christmas 2015 even stronger!
