They say all is fair in love and war, but some people take the saying pretty literally.
According to reports, the woman also attacked the man with a broken bottle during the assault in May. Detective Constable Duncan Clark stated, “She ensured she had a broken bottle to hand and a hot iron to strike the victim and seriously harm him.”
Police say that Alozie’s attacks were “calculated and pre-planned.” At the time of the incident, her student visa was due to expire and she was expected to return to her family in Nigeria at the end of May. The Coventry University student was arrested at Heathrow Airport as she prepared to fly home. The victim is still recovering from severe burns and cuts and has undergone multiple operations.
At Woolwich Crown Court in London, Alozie was found guilty of grievous bodily harm with intent.
