THAW and DTE Energy partner to help prepare families for a  cold and potentially costly winter at Neighborhood Energy Efficiency Day (NEED)

This Saturday, more than 100 The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) and DTE Energy volunteers will visit approximately 125 homes in a north end Detroit neighborhood to provide free home energy consultations, including the installation of energy- and water-saving products as well as smoke detectors. Some customers will qualify to receive an ENERGY STAR refrigerator and possibly a furnace test and tune-up.

DTE Energy and THAW partner to raise and distribute $1M for Michigan Families during sixth annual Week of Warmth

Neighborhood Energy Efficiency Day, hosted by THAW and DTE Energy, is part of the sixth annual Week of Warmth, an initiative to raise and distribute $1 million dollars to Michigan families in need. This year the NEED event will kick off the Week of Warmth with a press conference on-site to announce DTE Energy and THAW’s goal and mission for this special week.

Join THAW and DTE Energy this Saturday, Nov. 7 as they distribute energy-efficient materials that will help Michigan families this winter. Donations to the Week of Warmth initiative can be made at www.thawfund.org or www.weekofwarmth.org.
