A man opened fire inside a movie theater in a Lafayette, Louisiana, thursday night, killing two people and wounding seven others.  Moments after he took his own life away.

The police say that this man was a regular at the movie theater and as of right now that the man did not have any motive for the shooting.

The shooter was a 58 year old white man.

The shooting took place shortly before 8:30 p.m ET at the Grand Theatre 16 in. A city of about 120,000 people, just 60 miles west of Baton Rouge.

Approximately 100 people were inside the theater for a screening of the comedy Trainwreck,  when the shooter began firing using a handgun.
