Fighters competing on Saturday’s Premier Boxing Champions on ESPN card held a press conference in Tampa, Florida Thursday before their July 11 showdowns at the USF Sun Dome with televised coverage beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
Just before the headlining event fighters hit the podium, the televised openers undefeated rising star Tony Harrison (21-0, 19 KOS) from Detroit and the quick-fisted Willie Nelson (23-2-1, 13 KOS) from Cleveland almost came to blows.
The altercation started as Nelson called out the media for writing him off and pinning Harrison as the winner before the fight has began. The scuffle escalated when the fighters approached the center of the platform to pose for photos. Harrison pushed Nelson and began to fire verbal blows. See what happened next in the video above.
Catch Tony Harrison fighting Willie Nelson as well as the main event fighters undefeated Welterweight World Champion Keith “One Time” Thurman (25-0, 21 KOs) against former world champion Luis Collazo (36-6, 19 KOs) Saturday July 11 on ESPN beginning at 9 p.m. E.T.
