Man shot to death holding infant in his vehicle on Detroit’s west side

A man was fatally shot holding a neighbor’s infant in his sport utility vehicle on Detroit’s west side.

Police say the victim, who was in his 30s, was found wounded in the chest in 14300 block of Crescent near Evergreen and Lyndon.

A source said that there were other children inside the vehicle. It is unclear if any children were injured in the incident.

The suspect is still at large and is described as a black male in his early 20s, about 5 foot 6, slim and dark complicated. He was wearing a blue jeans with a red stripe across his pants … click here for more details.

Westland man charged in fatal shooting at Wendy’s

A man has been charged in the fatal shooting and carjacking of a 28-year-old Detroit father waiting with his two young sons in the drive-thru of a fast-food restaurant.

Dezmen Faqua of Westland was arraigned via video Saturday on first-degree murder, assault with intent to murder, armed robbery, carjacking and gun charges.

Christopher Reed was shot multiple times June 6 at a Wendy’s in northwest Detroit. Reed’s car was taken after the shooting.

The slaying remains under investigation.

Jurassic World’ Bites Off Biggest Global Debut of All Time With $511.8 Million

Dinosaurs are anything but extinct at the box office.

“Jurassic World,” the fourth film in the series, became the highest global opener of all time with a staggering $511.8 million in its first days in theaters. It also devoured a number of domestic box office records with a $204.6 million take, the Rentrak media-measurement company estimated on Sunday.

In addition to setting a record for 2015, “Jurassic World” is now the second-highest domestic opening of all time, right behind “Marvel’s The Avengers” which took in $207.4 million in 2012.
