For better or worse, most news developments involving Chris Brown usually originate via social media. In recent days Brown urged his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran not to be a “THOT” via Instagram. He’s also been making announcements about he and Tyga’s Fan Of A Fan album and related Between The Sheets Tour via Twitter. Friday, Brown revealed he’s legally done with his 2009 assault case against Rihanna.
“Hopefully this is my last day in court…Pray for me,” Brown tweeted early Friday. By the afternoon, his assault case—and its probationary penalties—was a thing of the past. “I’m off probation!” he added. “Thank the Lord.”
After beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, Brown was charged with felony assault. The original terms of his probation called for five years’ probation, six months’ community labor, and a restraining order he remain away from Rihanna.
