2 men found shot to death in home on Detroit’s west side
Detroit police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men at a home on Detroit’s west side.
Detroit police say its officers found 2 bodies, one of a 39-year-old male and another of a 63-year-old male found fatally shot inside of a home shortly after 8 p.m. in the 17500 block of Meyers on Detroit’s west side.
Police say the circumstances as to what led to the shooting are unclear and are currently being investigated.

23-year-old woman killed in drive-by shooting in Superior Twp.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s say one person is dead tonight after what police are calling an apparent drive-by type shooting.
Police say a 23-year-old woman is dead after being found shot to death outside of her apartment complex along MacArthur Boulevard in Superior Township early Sunday morning.
Police say they have no one in custody and are not releasing anything in regards to suspect information at this time. Also, according to authorities, the woman’s two young children were inside her home at the time of the shooting. Police say no one else was injured.
Highland Park officer killed in ‘ambush’ shooting at night club
A reserve police officer for the city of Highland Park was shot and killed while working as security for a local club late Friday night.
Roderick Jones, a reservist officer for the city of Highland Park was working at Club Opyum on Detroit’s west side when he was shot and killed.
Police say the incident started when Jones kicked two men out of the club.
The men then went to a car in the parking lot and waited for the officer, ambushing him when the night was over, firing several shots at the man.
Jones was taken to Botsford Hospital where did in surgery.
Highland Park Police say Jones had been with the department for roughly a year. Jones was an ex-Army Ranger, having done a tour in Afghanistan. Jones was also a father of four boys.
Detroit Police say they’ve arrested 5 people in relation to this incident.
