Bishop Gorman High School WR and 4-star Class of 2015 recruit Cordell Broadus is, at this point, most notable for being rap legend Snoop Dogg’s son. And when you’re Snoop Dogg’s son, your childhood is just a bit different than everyone else’s.

In a recent interview with Bleacher Report, Broadus said that when he was six years old, his dad gave him $2,000 to play football.

The young Broadus did not originally want to play football because he was more interested in acting. Snoop asked his son what he had to do to get him to play football and Broadus asked for the two-grand sum, which he received in an envelope. After receiving one grand the next year, Broadus insisted on just playing for free.
