The Girl Scouts of the USA announced it will offer three new cookies this season after listening to demand for gluten-free options.

Two of the three new comers are gluten-free. Toffee-tastic is crispy, buttery and full of toffee bits. And Trios is made with real peanut butter, chocolate chips, and whole grain oats, according to the Scouts.

“Millions across the nation have made gluten-free diets a lifestyle change,” said Kelly Parisi, chief communications executive. “Girl Scouts recognizes there are people avoiding gluten for various reasons, and we wanted to assure that all customers could enjoy our delicious cookies.”

Last year, the Girl Scouts launched a gluten-free pilot cookie program and now is expanding it nationwide, Parisi added via e-mail.

Toffee-tastics and Trios were added after Girl Scouts heard many of their clients asking for a gluten-free option.

“Not all varieties are available in every market,” according to the Scouts.

Rah-Rah Raisins are made with whole grain oats, raisins and Greek yogurt-flavored chunks.
