The Detroit Branch NAACP’s “Take Your Soles to the Polls” Campaign in its commitment to voter education, mobilization and protection is prepared to protect the vote for the Tuesday, November 4, 2014 General Election.

7:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M.


  • Detroit Branch NAACP, 8220 Second Avenue, Detroit, 48202 and;
  • Polling locations throughout the City of Detroit


  • Detroit Branch NAACP Voter Hotline.  The voter hotline (313-664-2424) is set up to assist voters with questions about where to vote and to report any signs of voter intimidation or suppression.  The voter hotline will be available from 7:00 A.M. till 8:00 P.M.
  • The Detroit Branch NAACP will have poll watchers and observers at polling places in Detroit to ensure that voters are not intimidated at the polls.
  • A core of attorneys will be on-site at the Detroit Branch to investigate any claims of voter intimidation or suppression.
