WSU Graduate Killed In Red-Light Run

A recent Wayne State University Graduate was killed in an early morning collision at the intersection of Greenfield and Curtis.


Sources say 23-year-old Diamond Scott died at the scene of the accident. One male driver was critically injured. Scott’s family said she was scheduled to donate a kidney to a church member.


Grosse Pointe Park Pot Proposal


Organizer getting signatures for the November ballot.

It is an election year for the state of Michigan and Grosse Pointe Park may see an option on the ballot to decriminalize the use of marijuana. Safer Michigan Coalition collected hundreds of signatures in effort to get the proposal on the November ballot. Sources say city officials are not in favor of the initiative.


Detroit Water Department Sends Citations


A Detroit Water and Sewerage spokesman said the water system has cited $21, 000 in fees from 79 customers for illegal use of services. Reports say the department is owed approximately $90 million from 90, 000 delinquent customers.
