Many will be out to celebrate the 56th annual City of Detroit Fireworks tonight downtown, but Detroit Police officers want the public to know about restrictions.
Local, state and federal officers will have a strong presence to keep an expected crowd of one million safe. Authorities say any unlawful behavior will not be tolerated at tonight’s festivities.
Minors 17 and under are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian from 6 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Children who are lost and separated from their guardians will be taken to either the first precinct downtown, Cobo Hall or Butzel Family Center on Kercheval.
