Throughout his life, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was a champion of service and community involvement. One of my favorites of his quotes is
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?”
To honor Martin Luther King, Jr. Day this year, Americans will be coming together for a day of service to give back to their communities — and there’s an event in Detroit.
Here are the details:
Where: 18899 W Chicago St,
Detroit, MI 48228
When: Monday, January 20th
You’ll be in good company, too. Every year, President Obama and the First Lady take some time to help out a worthy cause — and they always ask the rest of the country to join in.
I hope you answer that call — RSVP to take part in this day of service in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday:
