In the new era of sports, many fans have become accustom to the silly antics and even dance moves of the players after they make a play or even when they are going through the starting line-up. However, no one could have predicted that a dance-off would take place during a game between a young fan and an NBA usher.

Believe it or not, this epic dance battle actually took place in the city of Detroit, Michigan last Tuesday as the Detroit Pistons faced-off against the visiting New York Knicks.

Now who are these two people who faced-off in a dance battle royal, well the young fan is an 11-year old and Detroit Fan named Antwain Alexander and the NBA usher is a 46-year old man by the name of Shannon Sailes, who is actually known for showing off his dance skills during Pistons games.

However during an exclusive interview with Good Morning America both Antwain and Sailes sat down for interviews along with Antwain’s family.

During the interview, Antwain’s father, Pastor Alexander admitted that his son’s goal at the Piston game was to get on the “dance cam.”

“He had been trying to get that dance cam on him throughout the entire game,” said his father.

Let’s just say he didn’t disappoint once the camera was on him, as he made more moves, so did Sailes and before the crowd knew it, they had themselves a dance battle. While both Antwain and Sailes admit they had fun during their dance battle, that didn’t stop them from being competitive.

“He was taking my crowd,” replied Sailes. “So it was time for me to step up. This is my house, you know.”

Antwain was certainly ready to give him good battle as he went head on with Sailes.

“He was, like, doing his moves and everything, and then they went back to me and I stood up and I said, ‘Come on!’” said Antwain.

Soon after that the epic dance battle video went viral and has since elevated to over two million views on YouTube.

While many fans would have thought that the dance battle would stop there, Antwain and Sailes decided that it wouldn’t stop there as they geared for a dance battle re-match up with some support from the Detroit Pistons dancers.

During this re-match both Antwain and Sailes put their amazing dance skills to the test and while no medal or award was given out for the winner, both felt honored to have battled each other.

“He’s so good at dancing,” said Antwain.

However despite there not being an award or medal for the winner, Sailes gave the young man the victory.

“Overall, he’s a young man, talented, got so much going for himself,” Sailes said. “He’s the winner.”

There is no doubt that both Antwain and Sailes have some amazing talent when it comes to what they can do on the dance-floor. I know I wouldn’t want to go up against either of them on the dance floor. Nonetheless, there is no doubt that this will go down as a great moment in sports history that no one will forget.
