DETROIT, Mich. (Hot Headlines) — Thursday morning at three a.m. sources say police were called to Mt. Elliot and Elba Street on the city’s east-side to extinguish yet another fire.
The “Penny House” in the city’s artistic landmark Heidelberg Project went up in flames. According to authorities, fire crews responded in a timely manner, but unfortunately the house was engulfed in flames upon arrival.
This is the second fire in two-weeks to take place to the project. On November 12th, the House of Soul burned to the ground.
According to sources, police are questioning a person of interest who may have information on the suspected arsonist, but no one is in custody.
