It looks like Kanye West‘s “surprise” proposal to Kim Kardashian was just another made-for-TV moment.
According to Radar Online, the rapper “relented and agreed to have his proposal filmed” as a “trade-off” because he wouldn’t allow his newborn daughter, North West, to be filmed in the days after her birth.
While we’re not surprised that Kim agreed to have the proposal televised, this is a contradiction for Yeezy, who insisted he’d no longer appear on camera for “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
“He will have the final say on the edit, as to what is shown and how it is portrayed. But make no mistake, the proposal was a made-for-television moment. It was borderline theatrical,’ a family insider said.
As for the upcoming ceremony, the source added that “Kanye is urging Kim to plan her dream wedding.”
“It is not going to be a quiet affair. It will be lavish beyond belief. Kim will have several dresses and Kanye wants her to be wearing some of the top designers from around the world,” the insider reports. “But I’d imagine there might be some trepidation given her second wedding to Kris Humphries was followed by their split — and it all aired as a special on E!”
