Can I get a virtual group hug from all my plus size beauties for my post title?! Sometimes I feel like I am the only fat girl lusting over clothes that I CANNOT fit. Realistically I probably never will. And don’t get me wrong, I am totally happy with my little section in Forever21. Well, kinda. I get slightly jealous when I see all my fab friends skippin’ and runnin’ to the designer sample sales, because who can afford it otherwise, and I secretly want to skip and run with them. I am more than sure I can find a look-a-like version of any of these brands but who doesn’t want the original.
There are a four brands that give me pause simply for their fabness, glamour, or their edgy factor. And if I could afford them I might just petition for some fat girl sizes. For now this post will do.
Balmain really would get my rent check every single month. Their blazers and leather jackets are definitely a staple item that every fashionista should have in their closet. Lanvin … well it’s Lanvin. Even if the H&M collection hadn’t sold out in a matter of hours I still couldn’t fit all my tatas in a collection offering NO lycra. Dolce & Gabbana is just one of the classic brands that you just have to get just because of the name. Asides from the beautiful lines the dresses create on the body. Alexander McQueen is like the end-all-be-all to fashion. I can’t even explain why. I am sure once I get my hands one of their garments I will be able to tell you how it feels to wear a legend.
For now I will just lust over the lux brands because even if I were a size 4 I’d have to sell all of my worldly possessions (which is at zero right now) to be able to afford ONE piece!
So tell me, what brands are you dreaming of squeezing into and has you totally gagging and dying for more?
