CBE/Atlantic Recording artist Sevyn Streeter rolled through, or shall we say plowed through Detroit this past weekend. Sevyn kicked off her trip with a listening session at Collective Studios in Oak Park for the media, radio and tastemakers in Detroit. She gave a glipse of a few records off of her project in which she is currently recording.

Retweet Or Delete” Seven Streeter “I Like It”

Here are a few tracks we can expect:

  • Current single: “I Like It”
  • “It Won’t Stop”
  • “BANS”
  • “FAF” (Fine As F*ck)
  • “Sex On the Ceiling”
  • “Fight For Me”

A rep from said “Without giving too much away, “BANs” is definitely a track for every woman who’s been in gullible in love and recovering from heartache at the hands of a “bitchassn*gga”… Also, remember the title “Sex on the Ceiling” from the new album, if you’re into that crazy-wild-awesome sex thing. I thought you would be.”

I too agree and am excited about production featured on her upcoming project from my favorite producers The Internz.

After the listening session, Sevyn took to the air waves at HOT 107.5 to chop it up with Detroit’s #1 DJ, DJBJ and Comedian CP. Check back later for the video of that interview. After she rapped her media run Sevyn Streeter took to the streets of Detroit and hit up Detroit hot spot Haze Nightclub.

On Sunday, Sevyn was right back at HOT 107.5 on “Imported From Detroit” sharing her story and how she got to where she is today. After she got off air she joined HOT 107.5’s own Big Greg at the livest Sunday night party in Detroit: Club 928. The party did not stop there, Streeter hit the burbs and joined DJBJ at club Myst.

Although the turn up was real, Sevyn woke up very early Monday morning to make a point to spend time with the youth in Detroit. Her first stop, Cass Tech, to speak at an assembly of Fearless Girls Club members to speak about her fearless journey and give advice to attendees on how to overcome their own fears.

From Cass Tech She hit up HOT 107.5 to welcome Bijou Star into her new midday spot. After a brief meet and greet, Sevyn hit up the Detroit School of the Arts’ to participate in “Edu-tainment 101” student seminar. Sevyn stressed the point of taking every opportunity that comes your way as well as owning your passion. The students did not take her comments lightly as three stellar singers took their opportunity to sing to Sevyn. To everyone’s delight Sevyn Streeter then took their initiation into opportunity and turned it into an impromptu duet. Watch the video below to hear her life journey as well as see the duet below!
