Why: Each year, Fifth Third Bank celebrates its own holiday, Fifth Third Day, May 3rd, or 5/3 on the calendar, by recognizing employees, thanking customers and supporting the communities they serve. The theme of Fifth Third Day this year is, “What Can We Do About Hunger?
Because Fifth Third understands the impact living with hunger can have on the community, they are dedicating the 2012 celebration to fighting summer hunger across Michigan.
· During the ceremony the Bank will present 53,000 meals to Feeding America of Michigan.
· Fifth Third will also be announcing its partnership with the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, held June1-3, as part of the Celebration of Community Involvement. The public is invited to view the 2012 Grand Prix Indy Car and talk racing with Grand Prix organizers.
