Born on November 9, 1992, the eldest of five siblings and raised by his grandparents, he started out with a bright outlook on his future, but by the time he entered middle school in Pontiac, MI the call of the “street niggas” became too appealing to ignore. By the time he was 13, the thrill of a life filled with hitting licks, instant gratification and fast money soon outweighed the bland reality of attending school and working hard to achieve long-term goals.
Accompanied by his cousins Christopher and Ryan, aka Fuco Bunkin and Sir Roc, Trigg embarked upon several crime sprees that landed him in juvenile detention. After a brief stint at the detention center, the trio decided to explore their mutual love of rap by starting a group called G-Ville.
G-Ville’s drew favorable interest and support from the neighborhood and generated a respectable buzz, but all too soon the desire for the finer things in life led to more illegal activity and, consequently, more jail time.
After being in and out of confinement for most of his teenage years, at the age of 17 Trigg was sent to jail. Despite being labeled as a “menace to society” by a prosecutor, the judge allowed him to serve his time at a boot camp designed to help the youth. It was then that he decided to turn his life around…for good.
Today, with a clean record and a new outlook on life, Trigg Da Kidd has dedicated his life to building a legacy that he can be proud of. After teaming with “L” and “G”, CEO’s of Take Over Music Group (T.O.M.G), Trigg has been on a serious grind to elevate the rap game by adding his brand of swag to it.
In anticipation of the release of his debut album “Ceilin Fans”, Da Kidd is embarking on a full- fledged college tour to promote his new singles “Stoners Night” featuring Travis Porter and “Racks and Rubber Bands”. With a buzz-worthy project that is power-packed with certified bangers and heavy- hitters like Tierra Marie, Dusty McFly, Shorty Da Prince, Travis Porter and Elijah Conner, Trigg Da Kidd is on a mission to put Detroit hip hop back in the industry forefront.
BEYOND THE MUSIC
In addition to his musical accomplishments, Trigg Da Kidd has joined forces with label mate Brandon Thomas to found the E365 Empowerment Group for troubled youth. Drawing from his experiences as a young person on the edge of prison and the grave, he seeks to use his growth as a tool to help prevent others from traveling the same path.
