Job Summary

Prepares or assists with the preparation of four-week work schedules for various internal resource and, if required, employment agency pool personnel to ensure adequate patient support coverage on multiple units within a facility and/or between sites and regions. In conjunction with requesting supervisory/managerial staff and work leader, plans and revises schedules toaccommodate shift rotations, new hire orientation, vacations, holidays and other employee requests for planned and unplanned time off. Has responsibility to all parties involved for follow-up actions/ communications of staffing/schedulingprocess plans and/or changes. Compiles, maintains and transmits Payroll information; monitors agency contracts for compliance. Researches and resolves discrepancies. Prepares reports as requested. Anticipates and responds to employee, agency and managerial needs quickly and courteously.Ability to work productively & effectively in a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities and deal with stresses associated with the workenvironmental (e.g., staffing fluctuations, time commitments, etc.). Demonstrates willingness to make a meaningful contribution to the work environment as evidenced through behavior and attitude. Ability to adapt to technologies used in the work environment. Ability to change job-related work practices/priorities/ procedures & reschedule activities in response to changing work conditions. Analytical ability to gather and interpret factual data, to identify discrepancies and obtain advice when required. Standard methods,guidelines and procedures are generally followed in the resolution of problems with specific methods determined by leadership when precedents are unclear or unavailable. Communication and/or interpersonal skills for routine and regular contacts with internal and some external customers/stakeholders to discuss primarily factual information. Some discretion and conflict resolution skills are exercised, primarily with people within the function. Courtesy and listening skills are required. Technical knowledge of word processing with the ability to be trained on ANSOS software applications.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical diploma or Associates Degree preferred. One to two years experience in a clerical/secretarial position,including word processing responsibility.
