Katt Williams is having even more financial problems, it seems.

According to public records obtained by the Detroit News, the comedian owes the IRS $284,000 in back taxes.

The IRS filed a lien for $284,419 on March 15th with the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds.

Katt’s business manager, Lance Bogart, issued a statement saying “Mr. Williams will pay all debts owed to the IRS.”

Katt Williams can’t seem to keep himself out of trouble these days.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, recording studio owner Marion Joseph Powers has filed a lawsuit against Katt claiming that the comedian instructed his dog to bite his while he recorded comedy in his studio.

Court documents claim that Williams and his bodyguards came to Powers’ studio in October. Williams brought along his dog and allegedly gave it an “attack signal” instructing it to bite the other man’s animal, leaving it with injuries.

Powers claims when the two decided to meet in a hotel in November to discuss the incident he was bullied into not pressing charges by Williams. He says he was forced to sit in a chair by Williams, his bodyguards and the dog he says was “snarling” in front of him.

He also says that Katt threatened to kill him and held him against his will.

He’s asking for $1 million in damages for assault, damage to property, internal infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment and battery.

The incident is believed to have taken place the same day he was interviewed by local news for being kicked out Atlanta’s Four Seasons Hotel.

Williams has yet to release a statement on the allegations.

Police in Fulton County, Georgia have issued two arrest warrants for troubled comedian Katt Williams, after an alleged altercation at in Atlanta hotel in November.

Williams allegedly struck Merion Powers in the face during a disagreement in the Four Seasons Hotel on November 12.

According to TMZ.com, Powers claims he went to the room to discuss a debt with Williams and when he believed the situation was escalating, he began recording audio using his cellphone.

Sources close to Williams claimed that Powers was attempting to extort the comedian over recordings Williams made.

Hotel security was called in regards to the incident, as were the police, who did not arrest Williams at the time of the incident.

Arrest warrants were issued for Williams on December 28. He must answer charges of battery and false imprisonment.

More details have begun to circulate on the arrest of comedian Katt Williams yesterday (December 4) that suggest he was, in fact, arrested but not on charges of possessing a shotgun.

Georgia police officials have given an update on the situation.

Katt Williams did not have a shotgun on his person when police arrived at a Georgia Walmart earlier today, this according to the Newnan Police Department. Newnan Deputy Police Chief Rodney Riggs tells TMZ Katt was handcuffed, put in the back of a police car and questioned about an alleged altercation in the Walmart parking lot — but Riggs says Williams was released at the scene and never officially booked. Early reports suggested a fight broke out between Williams’ entourage and another crew.

The comedian was arrested just minutes ago, and he’s being taken to Coweta County jail. Word has it that a few members of his crew were taken into custody too. Reportedly, there was an incident with another entourage, but there’s no word on what actually happened or what charges Katt is being booked on. Sources say that six police cars were called to a Wal-Mart parking lot because of the run-in. Katt was one of about 12 men who were rounded up. (S2Magazine)

Gina Lau Snider, spokeswoman for the City of Newnan, said police responded to a disturbance call around 2 p.m. but is unclear as to who made the call and what the disturbance could actually be. “Some of the news media are reporting the incident is involving an 18-wheeler possibly owned by Williams, but I don’t know if that is the case,” she said. Someone involved in the Katt Williams incident earlier today pulled out a shotgun at the Georgia Walmart where Katt was arrested, this according to one of the people who called 911. About 3 minutes into the call, which came in at 2:17 PM local time, a man tells the 911 operator, “We’re having a problem with Katt Williams … and we need someone to come out here now.”The caller then explains, “They pulled out a shotgun and stuff like this.” The operator replied, “He pulled out a shotgun?” The caller responds, “Yes Ma’am.” As TMZ first reported, Williams along with several other men from his “entourage” were arrested in the Walmart parking lot and transported to a local jail.
