A manifesto is a public declaration of principles and intentions, often political in nature and usually life stance-related. With all the headlines around Slum Village it is no wonder their latest and possibly their last album is titled ‘Villa Manifesto’.
Slum Village Calls It Quits
This album features a recording reunion of all members T3, eLZhi, the late J Dillla and Baatin. Now with collaborations with Little Brother on ‘Where Do We Go From Here’ it is safe to say that this album gives us insight not only to the musical bond that Slum Village, as well as Little Brother have, but also the uncertainty of the future of SV.
Detroit’s Elzhi Heats Up Some “Leftovers”
‘Villa Manifesto’ hit shelves on July 27, T3 of SV stopped by their hometown station Detroit’s Hot 102.7 to speak with Online Editor AC. Of course her journalistic duties led to asking the million dollar question ‘Is Slum Village Officially Broken Up’ but the connection she has with the music and following SV for some time had to know What is going on and whats does the future hold.
You will be surprised to how T3 answered this question sans eLZhi. I will just say this he did give confirmation but it wasn’t that the Slum Village is done! And if that is the case why wasn’t eLZhi in the latest video ‘Faster’. Is this all a ploy or politics? All these questions answered plus Slum Village Tour info in the video below!
