“AP”, a born and raised Detroiter, began her career with Radio One Detroit in March 2006, beginning her career path as a board operator on HOT’s sister station, WCHB-AM News Talk 1200.

From there, “AP” started to assume additional responsibilities in the programming department; board op’ing for HOT’s other sister station, (WDMK 105.9 kiss fm) then she began board opping the HOT nightclub live broadcasts, and other station events…

“AP” knew that to fulfill her dreams of being on-air, she needed to take some additional steps. So she put together a demo, and presented it to the program director, who liked what he heard! “AP” started out on early Saturday mornings for one hour, from 6a-7a. She was then partnered with HOT 102.7′s “Funny Man with Flava, Cool Aide”, on Saturdays from 6p-10p and Sundays from 3p-7p. AP also co starred with MC Serch on “Serch Lite Saturdays”.

AP has since then worked her way up from weekends on air to star as the local on air producer for the nationally syndicated, Rickey Smiley Morning Show Monday – Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. AP still maintains her weekend show on alternating Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
