Drake and billionaire T. Boone Pickens share a few words on Twitter.

Drake was put in his place on Twitter.

Last night, the Young Money rapper took to the social networking site to post a message that read, “The first million is the hardest.” Shortly after, billionaire T. Boone Pickens, who ranks on Forbes’ list of the wealthiest people in the world, swooped in with a hard-cutting quip.

“The first billion is a helluva lot harder,” he wrote. Drake responded shortly after, stating, “@boonepickens just stunted on me heavy.”

Young Money’s Nicki Minaj is setting the record straight after catching heat for her crew getting targeted in the murder of a female fan last week following a Tokyo, Japan concert.

Resorting to Twitter, Minaj made sure to let her 12.2 million followers know her side of the story.

“Saddened to learn one of my precious fans; found tragically murdered in Japan. My love & prayers are with the family of Nicola Furlong,” she tweeted May 31st.

“@PerezHilton my dancers had nothing to do w/this tragedy. No one in my entourage was questioned or arrested. They all flew home from Japan”

“@PerezHilton that person on your sight is NOT my dancer. We do NOT know the men in custody. Too much misleading information.” (Nicki Minaj’s Twitter)

Despite her remarks, reports claim one of the murder suspects is connected to Minaj.

Local reports from Japan claim that Furlong and her friend were approached by the two men after a Nicki Minaj concert. Witnesses report that the two women were pushed into a taxi. Police are also investigating whether they were drugged before they were assaulted. The American suspects are James Blackston (23) and an unnamed 19-year-old backing musician. Blackston, from south central Los Angeles, had a high profile as a dancer who has worked with Nicki Minaj and the Black Eyed Peas among others. Both men are in Japan working for Japanese singer Ai Carina Uemura. (Irish Central)

Reports claim the female victim likely died after getting strangled.

“These two men allegedly took advantage of a female unable to resist due to the fact she was in a comatose state from a highly alcoholic beverage. On a taxi ride between Shibuya and Shinjuku, they took advantage of a woman by touching her body,” a police report reads. An autopsy says that Furlong was likely strangled, Japan’s Mainichi reports. “Nicola was a warm, generous, stunning person who always had time for her family and other people,” the family of the deceased said in a statement on Sunday. “She stood for everything that is good in life.” (Huffington Post)

The Irish foreign exchange student reportedly studied abroad in Japan.

Furlong, a 21-year-old student at Dublin City University, had been studying abroad at the Takasaki City University of Economics, located 60 miles outside of Tokyo. On Wednesday night, she and a friend met two men who were attending the same Nicki Minaj concert in Tokyo. Afterward, all four were seen returning in a cab to the Keio Plaza hotel in Tokyo. Before most weddings, the bride-to-be gathers up her friends for a special ‘let’s get this last official wild girls night in before I tie the knot’ type of party and actress Meagan Good is definitely no different.  This past weekend, she opted to throw her bachelorette party in Vegas, complete with a burlesque dancewith the PussyCat Dolls but her party didn’t come without criticism.

After photos hit the net, Meagan was slammed for her decision to do a Vegas dance being that she was marrying a pastor, however, she didn’t let it slide. She took to her twitter and responded:

Tensions between Young Money’s Lil Wayne and G.O.O.D. Music’s Pusha T appear far from over as The Clipse rapper has now unleashed a visual for his new Weezy-targeted “Exodus 23:1″ record.

While still not name-dropping Weezy F. Baby, Pusha showcases the song’s gritty vibe with a dark theme and street setting.

Last week, Clipse rapper Pusha T released “Exodus 23:1,” a dis track that sure seemed to be aimed at Drake. The song didn’t name names, but Lil Wayne noticed and promptly released the return shot “Ghoulish.” And now Pusha’s got a video for “Exodus 23:1,” so this thing is definitely ongoing. The new video doesn’t really do anything to further the anti-Cash Money narrative. Instead, it returns Pusha to the old Clipse milieu of Virginia crackhouses and mobs of goons with weathered faces. This comes just a few days after Young Money’s Drake reportedly got at Pusha during a Washington, D.C. concert.

Drake’s YMCMB big homie Lil’ Wayne put out the diss track “Goulish” a couple days ago aimed at Pusha T in response to his “Exodus 23:1″ record, and now, Drizzy has some words of his own for Pusha. During his Club Paradise Tour set this weekend in Washington D.C., Drake said, “If you was doing 16s when I was 16 and your sh*t still flopped and you switched teams, don’t talk to me my n*gga.” This immediately set off a ton of Tweets saying that Drake had called out Pusha on stage. And with this, the drama continues. (Complex)

Heading into the weekend, Weezy went after Pusha on the new “Goulish” record.

The beef is on. This evening YMCMB flagship artist Lil Wayne did the expected and dropped a scathing dis record titled “Goulish” aimed at Clipse lyrical monster Pusha-T. “F–k Pusha-T and everybody that love him. His head up his a** so I’ma have to head butt him” Wayne raps on the intro to the record. N*ggas can’t see me. Not even a glimpse. Too many banana clips, I feel like a chimps.” (RapFix)

Pusha’s new “Exodus” record is believed to take aim at the fact artists like Drake and Lil Wayne fall under Cash Money CEO Birdman’s imprint.

Young Money’s Lil Wayne and Drake may make the Forbes’ wealthiest rap list annually, however, the rap duo are reportedly refusing to cough up more than $400,000 in a lawsuit.

Details on the legal matter bubbled online early Monday (May 29).

Lil Wayne and Drake say there is NO WAY IN HELL they’re gonna fork over $400,000 to a company that sued them for allegedly bailing on a club appearance … because they claim they were never told about the gig. The rappers have joined together to fight a default judgment entered against them. The judge ordered the duo to pay $432,337.50 to Imperial Entertainment Group. The company sued, alleging L.W. and Drake promised to perform at a 2011 event but were no shows. (TMZ)

Rather than throw up the dough, both Young Money emcees claim they did no wrong.

The rappers now claim in legal docs … they were never told about the appearance, never signed ANY contracts and were never even served with papers to show up in court. Drake and Lil Wayne allege that IEG used a third party to book them — Melanzh Enterprises — which they claim had no authority to book them. The two want the court to cancel the $400k plus judgment … STAT. (TMZ)

Jay-Z (aka Shawn Carter) leads all comers once again with $37 million in earnings since last August. A majority of the dough is proceeds from his Blueprint 3 tour. Nipping at his heels, however, is fellow mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who raked in a neat $35 million from his Bad Boy record label, his Sean John clothing line and his lucrative Ciroc vodka deal. Kanye West may have landed at No. 3, but he’s a ways down there at “only” $16 million. The rest of the top 10 had similar years, revenue-wise, with Cash Money honcho Bryan “Birdman” Williams tying Lil Wayne for the next two spots with $15 million, showing that tha Carter isn’t doing too bad, either. Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame recently talked about his past stint behind bars around the come-up of former affiliate Nicki Minaj sparking the femcee’s Young Money association and eventual record deal.

Asked if he thought Nicki would have joined his Brick Squad Monopoly crew if it weren’t for him and Gucci Mane doing jail bids, Waka said he is certain things would have gone differently.

“Yea, I can say that. ‘Cause when I was around… I ain’t tryin’ sound like I’m some He-Man, n*gga. But, Nicki, that’s my n*gga, like. If I probably never went to jail. I probably never would have been rappin’,” Flocka said in an interview. “I’d be doin’ the same thing I did with Gooch. All the f*ckery she probably got, that sh*t [would] be to the minimum.” (XXL Mag)

He also came clean on his mother/manger taking aim at Nicki and Gucci for ditching her management a couple years ago.

“Honestly, she was gon go even harder. I had to pull my mother back, like, “Yo, you my mother. Your sh*t is personal. If somebody disrespect you, it’s over for my career. It’s over for my freedom. Back in August 2010, Flocka addressed their decision to seek other management.

Flocka’s mom, Debbie Antney, publicly spoke out on Minaj’s decision to part ways with her two years ago.

“I am the person that put it out that she did a cease and desist letter or whatever that sh*t is that she did,” Antney said in an interview. “I put that out, she didn’t put that out. She never said anything, that was to stop people from continuously calling me to let them know I no longer have her. She chose not to be with me. That’s why I do sh*t on a handshake. People out there might say that’s a sucker, but I’m not, that’s who I am. You don’t want to be with me, you’re gone free. Miami Beach police say Knicks guard J.R. Smith has been arrested on a bench warrant for not having a valid driver’s license.

Sgt. Bobby Hernandez said the 26-year-old was stopped Thursday night on Washington Avenue in South Beach. A routine search revealed the bench warrant and he was arrested.

Details were not immediately available on what led police to stop Smith around 8:30 p.m.

Hernandez said Smith was taken to the Miami-Dade County jail, where officials said he bonded out early Friday.

No attorney for was listed on jail records for Smith,whose legal name is Earl Joseph Smith.

This apparently wasn’t Smith’s first brush with the law due to license issues. He was busted in South Beach last year for “operating a scooter without a valid driver’s license,” according to TMZ.

Smith played in China during the NBA lockout last fall and signed with the Knicks during the peak of Linsanity.

A reported arrest quota for Memorial Day weekend is causing anger and concern among community activists and union officers in Miami Beach.

Rumors of the quota, which allegedly calls for 2,000people to be arrested over the holiday weekend, first came to light in an email complaint from the officers’ union. In that email, the union called the quota “aggressive, patently unfair, and unjust.”

Police Chief Raymond Martinez has denied the reports, saying in an email to Local 10, “I want to be clear, there is no arrest quota for Memorial Day weekend or any other day on Miami Beach.”

But the ACLU is also concerned, especially when it comes to protecting civil rights.

“This is a big mistake they’re making,” said ACLU attorney Howard Simon.”Their goal should be zero arrests, not 2,000 arrests. If police are going to use arrests not as a last resort, but as a first resort they’re going to make the situation worse.”

The ALCU sent a letter to Martinez saying this is “targeted solely toward a predominately African-American event” and “raises serious constitutional concerns.”

They also said police need to use “professional training” to diffuse situations rather than arrest party-goers as a first response.

U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson said the quota is unfair and wrong.

“We’re not going to use our children as quotas,” she told Local 10′s Ross Palombo. “These children are already petrified.”

Wilson said she will not allow the police to “use our children as bait for you to raise the profile of your police department.”

Miami-Dade Commissioner Barbara Jordan said it is a form of racial profiling and being done “deliberately to kill Urban Beach Weekend.”

“The police chief can deny it all he wants, I’ve seen it in writing,” Jordan said. “They have a plan on how they will tackle the weekend and the kinds of things they’re going to do.”

Meanwhile, in a column written for Local10.com, Luther Campbell issued a controversial warning to members of the African-American community who will be visiting Miami Beach for Memorial Day Weekend.
