Hot 107.5 had the pleasure of sitting down with J. Drew of BET’s hit docu-series, ‘The Sheards‘ that premiered earlier this month. ‘The Sheards’ garnered a record breaking 2 million viewers for BET as many tuned in to watch the dynamics of a gospel family find their individual place in different parallels of life. J. Drew, the son of Pastor Drew Sheard and Karen Clark Sheard (Of The Clark Sisters) came to Hot 107.5 for a sit down interview with Kerrie Mitchell to discuss his role on the show. Surprisingly, he was very open with explaining how his goal is to break away from the gospel arena and wants to focus on HIS LIFE and HIS PASSION which is MUSIC that explores an unusual blend of futuristic R&B and nu-pop trap music. Check out a buzz record entitled FLIGHT, which is yet to be confirmed if it will premiere on his album, ‘Never Coming Back’.

How the family and church feel about his conquest to breakaway is all discussed in the interview as well as his current relationship with his son’s mother. Oh and if you were wondering what J. Big Sean Hall Of Fame Tracklist

After much anticipation Big Sean Hall Of Fame Tracklist has been released! Well not the complete list, see photo above.

Three big highlights include:

1. A feature from Finally Famous member SayItAintTone

2. At least four tracks produced by Key Wane

3. A collab with Miguel entitled “Ashley” which so happens to be my name so it MUST be awesome. All jokes aside the pairing of my two talented pals in a song which appears to be about his long time love Ashley definitely sounds like a joint the ladies will LOVE!

After the commercial success of his debut album, Finally Famous, and the critical success of his mixtape, Detroit, Big Sean is shaping up for a big 2013.

The G.O.O.D. Music signee and #6 hottest MC in the game according to MTV held a private listening session in the United Kingdom with DJ Semtex to play some of the first tracks off of his upcoming sophomore album, Hall Of Fame.

The 12 songs that were played included features from Nas and Kid Cudi (“First Chain”), Common (“Switcher”), Juicy J (“Milf”), and untitled songs featuring Kanye West and Lil’ Wayne. Miguel will be featured on a song called “Ashley” while FFOE rapper, SAYITAINTTONE will appear on a song called “F**k My Money Up.”

Of the 12 songs played for Semtex, the production sticks to the script of Sean’s debut album by rolling with No ID and Da Internz to handle a bulk of the production. While Sean promised that the album would be out by early January 2013, he pushed the album back stating that it simply wasn’t ready yet. In recent interviews, the “Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay” rapper has stated the album is completed, due to arrive later this year via G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Records.

Side note: I noticed that “Guap isn’t listed and I am about 99% sure that’s on the album.

The music video for Big Sean‘s GUAP is finally released!

Big Sean came home to Detroit to film his music video for GUAP, shutting down Woodward Ave in a Boat with the Finally Famous home team: SAYITAINTTONE, Earlly Mac, Adubb da Gawd, and Zeno Jones. In this scene you can see HOT 107.5′s HOT SQUAD AP, AC, UKnowCell, Skaii, Dj XO, Singer Front Paije and more bossing up on top of the HOT 107.5 station vehicle.

Exclusive: Big Sean’s Hall Of Fame Show Garnered Big Surprise For Concert Goers [EXCLUSIVE VIDEO]

Besides rolling down Woodward Ave in a Boat, Big Sean also turned up in many areas around Detroit city including Belle Isle as well as a Bingo tournament with SAYITAINTTONE’s grandmother, SAYITAINTGRANNY.

Sean recently spoke with MTV News on the significance of the Mike Carson and Mike Waxx-directed clip.

” ‘Guap’ [will be] one of those classic hip-hop videos [that] key rappers always have had in their careers, like Jay-Z with ‘Izzo (H.O.V.A.).’ It’s legendary because you come back to your city and shut it down to that degree. We shut down the biggest street in the city, kids came out — they were skipping school, which is kinda f—ed up, but we had an awesome time. I really saw how the city was showing love to me and the production in the video is all just sky high.”

“Guap,” which was produced by Detroit’s own Key Wane is the lead single off his forthcoming Hall of Fame album, due early 2013.
