Many people now know and recognize Jim Harbaugh as head coach, from his days at Stanford, San Francisco 49ers and now with the Michigan Wolverines.

However, 20 years ago, Harbaugh was an NFL quarterback and by the time he retired, he had thrown for 26,288 yards during his 14-year NFL career with the Bears, Colts, Ravens and Chargers.

While it’s no surprise to athletes to see their records broken or surpassed, in this case it might help coach Harbaugh, knowing that as of Sunday, Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has passed him with 26,316 career passing.

Stafford surpassed Harbaugh, after his 340 passing yards against the Indianapolis Colts, this past Wednesday.

So, now Stafford has officially moved up to No. 63 all time, while Harbaugh dropped to No. 64.
