The Detroit Lions lost 30-14 to the Cincinnati Bengals before a typically small preseason crowd for their second pre-season game of the year.
Rookie running back Dwayne Washington scored the only touchdown with 53 seconds left in the game, on a 79-yard drive lead by rookie quarterback Jake Rudock. Washington also went in for the two-point conversion. However, the rest of Lions points came from field goals.
Overall, this game, made it clear that there is still much work to be done by the Lions on offense and defense before the season starts on Sept. 11th.
In the meantime, the Lions (1-1) play their third preseason game on Aug. 27th at the Baltimore Ravens.
