Hair stylist and entrepreneur Ming Lee might not be a household name yet but this young boss has taken social networks by storm using it to brand herself and turn her Snob Life company into a multi-million dollar empire. During Ming’s recent trip back to Detroit, her hometown, I got a chance to speak with her on my #GlamRadio show and she shared the keys to how she built her hair empire, and more.
It’s not everyday that you hear a story about a 24 year old making a $500 investment into a virgin hair distribution company and then netting over a million by the age of 25. Yes you read that right. Through creative marketing and branding with mostly Instagram and Twitter, Ming Lee was able to flip $500 into a million in 1 year. If that’s not inspiration I don’t know what is.
Now 3 years after her initial investment Ming has expanded her Snob Life hair company into a full service salon in Atlanta and has now added a product line and luxury flat irons to her portfolio. See our interview below:
