What You’ll Do/Need

A Team Leader leads a focused team of technology professionals to deliver sound technical solutions. The Team Leader’s largest client is their team. They provide the tools and training to help the team succeed and grow. The Team Leader will facilitate the communication between the business and their team to help set and follow through with priorities. They set the direction for the team.

In this role the Team Leader will leverage their technical expertise to help guide the team forward with best practices and a sound vision.  Along with a technical vision, the team leader’s larger focus will be on growing and developing their team members in their careers. The Database Engineering team is responsible for mission-critical databases that have very high transactional activity as well as have long retention policies, making performance tuning a necessity in an increasingly fast-paced and growing environment.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience with Database Design and Development concepts
  • 2+ Years leading Database Development Team or equivalent
  • A passion for efficiency, stability and creativity
  • 5+ Years working with a relational database (SQL Server preferred)
  • Strong Performance Tuning experience
