Looks like one person isn’t feeling the Oprah Winfrey love. According to TMZ, a lawsuit was filed against the Queen of All Media this past Friday by a former employee, Carolyn Hommel. Hommel, who was hired in 2010 as the Senior Director Scheduling and Acquisitions at the OWN network, claims she was fired when she got pregnant. When she came back from maternity leave, she was downgraded to a temporary employee and dismissed a month after.
Hommel also claims that her former boss, Michael Garner, wrote up a false performance review made Hommel’s job duties and responsibilities appear less ‘senior’ and therefore not a candidate for the new vice president position.
No official word yet from Oprah’s camp.
